The aim of this study was to analyse the use of this technique between 2001 and 2010 in a sample of Thoracic Surgery Departments in Spain. The risk of complications must be taken into account and its indication must be properly evaluated. 30.6% out of the 149 patients participating in the study have suffered complications.
